This 4 track ep is a compliation of tracks put together by the white noise organization and richard wilmer. The concept and approach for this release was to create music inspired by mountains and their surrounding locations locked away in our memories from past experiences. 1) Mountains starts with 'the good days the good fields' which is a perfect intro as you are taken on a peaceful joyful journey towards the mountains. The track was inspired by the thought of sheep-herders in a beautiful, rustic field with snow capped mountains off in the distance. 2) This is followed by RW3112091224 which is a relaxing but slightly darker trip using a combination of guitar and electronics. The track was inspired by some late night and quite dangerous climbing in sennen, cornwall in late 2009. 3) wide sun (respect) shows the darker noise inspired side of the white noise organization as you are taken on a dark tense journey which really shows the versatility and open mind this talented act has. wide sun (respect) was inspired by the feeling of vertigo and awe after climbing in the rocky mountains with his cousin and one of his friends. 4) The EP finishes off with don't throw plastic dolls off cliffs which is inspired by a combination of walking to kynance cove in cornwall and the title of the track which was inspired by a late night in watching Puppet Master on DVD the night before recording. We hope you enjoy this release as much as we enjoyed creating it. If you like the two artists featured here then check out Hadeanera. Despite the length of time this release took to record & finalise I am truly 110% happy with the end result so I dedicate this release to long distance friendships, thank you -: Richard Wilmer |
